The first nationwide local specialty project from the Sanuki Udon specialty store, “Wagamachi Kamaage Udon 47”, will finally launch on Friday, November 1st, 2024!
We will introduce all 47 unique dipping sauces, each exclusive to one of Japan's prefectures.
Each dish pairs perfectly with the chewy udon noodles ♡ Find your favorite bowl and enjoy the unique flavors!
Additionally, the fasme editorial team will report on two menus we personally tried!

Introducing the Carefully Selected 47 Products! "Wagamachi Kamaage Udon 47"
The "Wagamachi Kamaage Udon 47" project offers 'kamaage udon' utilizing the food culture of each of Japan's 47 prefectures.
These special dishes were born from the desire of udon artisans, who wanted to create unique udon dishes that would "excite local customers with something special only available in their region."
Ideas were solicited from udon artisans nationwide, and after sifting through over 600 submissions, 47 were carefully selected after multiple trials and tastings!

The large meatballs were incredibly filling! With a light and refreshing salt-based broth, this dish is easy to enjoy until the very last bite.
The subtle aroma of yuzu added a refreshing note, making this dish perfect for women who want something light yet satisfying!
Kiritanpo Dipping Sauce
The kiritanpo was perfectly crispy on the outside, with four large pieces providing a visual and flavorful delight that captures the essence of Akita!
When soaked in the broth rich with local chicken flavor, the kiritanpo becomes chewy and delicious ♡ It paired perfectly with the udon, creating a truly filling and satisfying dish.
