"Fujiya Home Pie" is a classic Japanese baked treat that first debuted in 1968. Known for its rich buttery aroma and crispy texture made from 700 delicate layers of pastry, it has remained a beloved long-selling brand in Japan.

And now, Ryohei Abe has been chosen as its new brand character!

How Does Abe Feel About His New Role?

Abe "I’ve been eating Home Pie since I was a kid, so if I could go back and tell my younger self about this, he’d be so surprised! It makes me so happy to be chosen as the face of something I’ve loved for so long!"

He shared his excitement about the appointment with a bright smile.

To celebrate his appointment, he was gifted a massive "BIG Home Pie" pack containing 700 pieces!

"It’s really heavy! (laughs) But I can feel the history and love that has been poured into this beloved snack." he commented.

He also added, "Since each Home Pie has 700 layers, 700 packs would mean 1,400 pieces… which means we have nearly 980,000 layers of Home Pie right here! Just thinking about it makes me excited!"

Looking back on the shoot, he shared, "I ate so many Home Pies! I feel like the commercial really captures the way I naturally enjoy them."

Abe "My love and curiosity for Home Pie are so strong that I even start multiplying! (laughs) I had so many opportunities to eat them during the shoot, and each time, my reaction was genuinely 'Delicious!' I just couldn’t stop!"
